Amazon FBA Fee Structure (2026)

Amazon charges three main fees for FBA sellers. Fulfillment rates below are the 2026 schedule effective January 15, 2026, plus the 3.5% fuel surcharge added April 17, 2026.

  • Referral Fee (8%–17%): A percentage of the selling price based on product category. Beauty, Health & Household, and Grocery charge 8% at or below $10 and 15% above $10. Minimum $0.30 per unit even on low-priced items.
  • FBA Fulfillment Fee: A per-unit fee for picking, packing, and shipping. In 2026 it varies by size tier, weight, and selling price band (under $10, $10–$50, over $50). A 3.5% fuel & logistics surcharge is layered on top since April 17, 2026.
  • Monthly Storage Fee: Charged per cubic foot of warehouse space. $0.78/cu ft standard (Jan–Sep) and $2.40/cu ft peak (Oct–Dec). Aged inventory over 12 months incurs additional surcharges.

Fee data based on the Amazon FBA Fee Schedule (effective January 15, 2026) and the April 17, 2026 fuel surcharge. Last verified: 2026-07-07. Fulfillment fees here exclude apparel and low-price-program rates — for your exact figure, use Amazon Seller Central's Revenue Calculator.

Target 30%+ margin for a sustainable Amazon business.

Below 20% leaves no room for PPC costs, returns, or fee increases. Margins above 40% are excellent and give you budget for aggressive advertising.
